Eagle Scout Projects Mile Markers installed - Our first Eagle Scout Project! In September 2007, Keegan Cole, of Troop 266 and Windham, led a team of Troop members to install mile markers along the trail. Keegan His Crew
The markers start at North Lowell Road, with the first pole at the trail start gate at .25 miles. From there markers are at .5 increments. From Roulston Rd, they work down from the Depot.
Rest Area/Granite Bench install Eagle Scout Project Complete! In December 2007, Jake Northcutt of Troop 266 and Windham, led a team to complete the installation of 3 Granite benches at a rest area along the trail. Additional benches are available for a donation that will include an inscription.
Post and Rail Fence at the Sheep Fold In 2007, Jon Tomer of Troop 266 designed, developed and installed two 3-section pressure treated post and rail fencing at the Sheep Fold. As well as attractive, the fencing provides safety from a 10 ft drop.
C16 Floor Refinishing In the heat of August 2008, Cliff Reandeau of Troop 263 planned, raised funding and obtained materials to refinish the floor of the C16. With his Dad Rick on the sanding machines, and Mom Vicki keeping them hydrated with cool drinks, together they did a tremendous job bringing beauty to the old wood floors.
Bridge to Future Rest Area
A sturdy and attractive bridge at future seating area at Windham Conservation wetland was completed in January 2009 by Jared Garfield, Troop 266
Kiosk at Windham Depot
Our most recent project was completed by Kevin Delfosse of Troop 226 in October 2009. The information Kiosk is located at the Windham Depot buildings.
